The Tipi Hire Company have teamed up with Umberslade Estate in the beautiful ancient village of Tanworth in Arden, Warwickshire, to provide a high quality low impact tipi village for families and couples. All tipi village guests will be allowed
FREE entry to Umberslade Farm Park. The family-run working farm is a fantastic day out for families in the West Midlands, and gives children the chance to see and handle farm animals in safe and friendly surroundings.
Umberslade Park is the ideal wedding venue/party venue. Along with The Tipi Village we have a large field in a picture perfect setting ideal for a Marquee and camping for guests.
We have comfortably furnished 21ft North American Sioux Tipis made of cotton canvas and Bell Tents set up on a permanent eco friendly campsite on the edge of the woodland on a gentle slope surrounded by fields overlooking the farm.We invite you to experience a camping adventure with a difference. Imagine spending your evenings relaxing next to a glowing fire looking for shooting stars, toasting marshmallows, jamming with your family and friends in merry singsong. Imagine waking up in the morning to the sound of bird song, spotting a Roe dear (or two) and listening for the sound of the steam train chugging though the countryside. We pride ourselves on offering you an alternative break of back to nature camping!
Umberslade is a working farm set in 1400 acres of fabulous countryside.
The tipis are magnificent structures and provides surprisingly spacious accommodation – a perfect place for family and friends to get together.
Tipi/Bell Tent living means spending much of your time outside the Tipi. The crackling of a campfire, the smell of wood smoke in the air and cooking outside on a firebowl/ barbeque makes the camping experience complete so we encourage you to make use of the firebowls and Kelly Kettles provided. (We can also arrange a larger fire for you and supply the wood for £40). This is surely an experience that we should all enjoy. Each tipi has plenty of space outside so you won't notice what your neighbours are up to! If you do not fancy cooking your own food then please use our Farm House Cafe in the newly-refurbished farm buildings offering delicious breakfasts, hot and cold food, sandwiches and home-made cakes.
For parties of twelve people or more who would like an evening celebration meal we can open our Farm House Cafe Restaurant which serves wonderful food, wine and beer. Please ask for details.
Whether you want to hire a tipi or Bell Tent for a night or a week, as a couple, a family, as a group of friends or for a honeymoon with a difference you’ll find lots of things to see and do. Tanworth in Arden boasts some fabulous walks, is ideal for bike rides (bicycles can be hired out locally and delivered/collected from our site) and horse riding. There is also a wonderful pub offering local ales and home cooked food.

We can orgainise a drum circle, story telling and face painting for your unique party experience..please ask for details.
We can offer a daytime tipi for Scout/Brownies clubs, schools, Corporate days, kids parties, storytelling, drum circles, yoga/pilate classes etc. Enabling children and adults a taste of a unique tipi experience. We can also organise a stortytellar to keep your kids transfixed!

Blow up airbeds/futon beds/aerobeds/mattress for extra comfort(Foot pumps only)..we do supply you with a bed roll or air bed but for extra comfort you are welcome to bring your own.

THINGS NOT TO BRING
Sadly due to Farm animals, we cannot allow dogs on site. We do have kennels nearby so your pets could still have walks with you during the day.
To keep our site tranquil we please ask you not to bring amplified music and speakers. (Unless agreed)
Weather happens so it’s important to note that Tipi Village cannot be held responsible for the great British weather ... hopefully the sun will shine but please come prepared.
Tipis are nomadic dwellings with a unique construction and in heavy rain some water may seep in at the top where the canvas wraps around the poles. To make sure that our guests are kept as dry as possible, we have fitted each tipi with a rain catcher/rain hat.
Extra baskets of wood can be purchased on site.
There is a hot shower and toilets on site and your tipi will be prepared in advance for your arrival.
Arrival times 1.30 - 6pm Please vacate your tipi by 11am

Payment can be made over the phone by credit card or by cheque. Please print and fill in the Booking Form and send with your cheque made payable to Umberslade Park Ltd. A damage bond cheque for £100 per tipi to be made payable to Anji Morrall should be sent with your booking form.
The bond will be kept for up to one week after your stay to cover any extra cleaning/ damages or extra working hours due to disturbance.
All bookings will be confirmed by email.
There is a shower and toilet block situated on the Farm.
There is no electric on site.
Should you have to cancel your stay with us an alternative date will be offered. Refunds cannot be given.
Tipi Village reserve the right to cancel holidays due to adverse weather conditions that are considered a danger to their clients. An alternative date will be offered.
Important Information
Please help us keep our tipi campsite clean and tidy for all our guests.
Please respect the ambience of our tipi village and please no loud amplified music. (By arrangement only).
Please can all our guests can make sure all washing up is done, all bins are emptied and rubbish taken to the recycling bins provided. Please empty ash from the fire into the ash bin located by the water point.
Please also make sure that each tipi or Bell Tent is left exactly as it was found..Your help is much appreciated.
Any damages or breakages should be reported to us.
If guests are asked to leave the site due to excess noise or unruly behaviour the management reserve the right to forfeit their bond.
Tipi Village can accept no liability for your possessions or personal injuries sustained during your stay and you accept full responsibility for your children at all times. Again we strongly advise you organise the provision of insurance to cover any losses/injuries incurred by you.
